Our school Learning and Resource Centre is a wonderful space. During class visits, students have the opportunity to borrow from an extensive selection of Junior Fiction, Fiction and Non-Fiction books.
Lunchtime is very busy in the library, with students visiting for quiet reading, games and extra-curricular activities. The library incorporates a very popular media room for viewing educational programs (also serves as an additional seminar room), a teacher reference section, equipment room and large study area.
The library is the venue for many functions and events during the school year including teacher conferences, P&F meetings and Book Fairs. We are very fortunate to have the latest in teaching resources, including our new addition, a mobile motorised 70 inch LCD Display screen. There is also a computer bay for students, with four new computers.
To ensure the smooth running of our library, the following guidelines apply:
- All students must have a library bag in order to borrow (approx. 30cm x 40cm)
- Student borrow on a 7 day basis (1 week)
- A lost book must be replaced or the value of same paid to the library
- Damaged or torn books must not be repaired at home. Please see the Librarian for repairs.
